When choosing a venue, there are so many different factors a wedding couple has to consider. My wonderful host, Rachel Walsh, has answered some of the most important questions to help you decide whether Zingerman's Corman Farms is the perfect wedding venue for you.
Q: How would you describe the look/style of the venue in a few words?
A: Natural elegance.
Q: What is different about the experience you offer your couples?
A: We aim to serve our couples and build a relationship of trust with them.
We have a dedicated team of experts committed to helping you every step of the way.
We offer different packages to accommodate a variety of couples and their specific wedding needs.

We offer a unique farm-to-table culinary experience by famous international chef Kieron Hales.
Q: Who is your ideal wedding couple?
A: We love working with different couples with diverse styles and ideas. The property can be used as a blank slate, where the couple can put their unique touch on it.
We love it when our couples trust us fully, that is why we offer all-inclusive packages to make the planning process as easy and stress-free as possible.
Q: What makes the property so special and unique?
A: The property is located on 27 acres of lush green fields and gardens, offering lots of different opportunities for photos. One of our historical gems, the farmhouse, was built in 1834 and is the most beautiful backdrop for your outdoor ceremony. Another benefit is that the wedding party can get ready in the farmhouse. The farmhouse has a stylishly decorated dressing room, lounge area, and makeup room that the wedding party has full access to throughout the day. The beautifully restored barn was built in 1837 and can is used for the ceremony and/or reception. If you are looking for an outdoor reception celebration, there is also the option of a tent under the beautiful Michigan sky.
Q: What do you want your wedding couples to remember after the wedding?
A: We want our couples to feel that they were taken care of.
Once they are married at our venue, they are also part of our story, our legacy, just as we are a part of theirs.
Q: Do you have advice for couples when choosing a venue?
A: 1.) Budget; couples should have a clear sense of the amount they want to spend
2.) What are your non-negotiables
3.) Research whether your ideal venue can accommodate your guest count.
4.)Tour the venue before you book, sometimes you get a different feeling when you are in the space.
Q: How do you and your team handle the pressure?
A: We are team-oriented. We place a strong emphasis on communication. Over the years, we have developed working systems that we trust. We have a group of people you can rely on. We work together and help each other, we support each other and have backup plans for each scenario. We have a lot of experience, which enables us to be ready for anything that can go wrong. On your wedding day, some things are going to go wrong, but rest assured we have the expertise, the knowledge, and the desire to give you the best experience, so when something pops up we will handle it for you.
Q: What happens when the weather is bad?
A: We have years of experience, and we have proven strategies in place. We check the weather in advance and decide on an action plan with the couple. We are always ready for anything Michigan weather throws at us.
Q: How has the pandemic influenced your venue?
A: We have adapted our approach with the main focus on health and safety as our main priority. Following this approach ensures all our guests and staff are safe.
We also have outdoor spaces that accommodate large groups of guests.
Q: What makes your culinary experience so different?
A: We are proud to serve our couples with a unique farm-to-table culinary experience that is prepared by our world-renowned chef, Kieron Hales. We have a seasonal chef's garden, that represents our chef's culinary history. Our menu planning process starts with a survey to find out what food is special to them and holds special memories. Our customizable seasonal menus are based on what is growing in our garden as well as what we can source from local farmers.
Q: What wedding experiences do you offer?
A: We offer 4 different wedding experiences. Bespoke Weddings, Intimate Weddings, Elopements, and The Tiny Wedding Experience.
Q: What makes your 1894 Highgrove Bespoke Wedding Experience so special and unique?
A: Our 1894 Highgrove Experience is an entire weekend celebration. This weekend feast includes access to the entire property for the whole weekend. Also included is the rehearsal dinner, a special brunch, prepared by our famous chef, lovely Zingerman's treats, and specialties to spoil your guests with, as well as a relaxing morning yoga session to start the day. This is just to list a few of the one-of-a-kind experiences that are a part of this deluxe package.
Q: What is the difference between Intimate and Elopement Weddings?
A: Intimate Weddings are 15 - 75 guests. The wedding party has full access to the farmhouse to get ready. Couples have the choice of an outdoor ceremony or an indoor ceremony in the barn.
The Elopement Weddings take place in the farmhouse and can accommodate up to 14 people.
Q: What is The Tiny Wedding?
A: We wanted to create an elevated micro wedding experience for couples looking for a small, more intimate wedding experience but with the added luxuries of a large wedding. The Tiny Wedding Experience is a curated wedding experience including the ceremony, wedding florals, a sparkling wine toast, a beautiful cake, and a photographer to document the whole experience. It is ideal for couples that are spontaneous, effortless, and looking for a stress-free experience.
Q: What makes the Tiny Wedding experience so unique?
A: It is an intimate smaller experience, it combines the simplicity of a courthouse wedding, with an elevated experience. You can book up to two weeks prior, and the booking is done online. We only offer an exclusive amount of Tiny Weddings per season. The Tiny Wedding experience is also popular for vow renewals or celebrating a social anniversary.
Q: Do you offer separate spaces where the wedding party can get dressed?
A: We offer a beautiful dressing suite in the farmhouse. There is also a separate space in the barn where the rest of the wedding party can get ready if the couple does not want to see each other before the wedding. It makes things easier because everything happens on the property.
There is enough space to have a private first look if the couple wishes to have one.
After getting to know the staff at Zingerman's Cornman Farms, I have found that what makes them so special are the people working behind the scenes. They are like a tight-knit family that shares a love of great food and are passionate about serving their couples.
